Badge Awards Night.
The badge night that took place on the 3rd June was very successful with 10 children achieving awards on the night. Thanks go to Dave Britton for organising this.

A reminder that the next badge night is this Sunday (24th June) at the University Pool at 8p.m.

Mini Gala
Another reminder that there is a MINI GALA taking place at Portland Leisure Centre on Friday 6th July at 8p.m. This is an ideal opportunity for swimmers that do not usually compete in inter club galas to gain valuable experience in a race environment. Swimmers of similar ability are grouped together in races. However, it is important to note that the awards are based upon improvement in times across the 4 main strokes from one mini gala to the next rather than on places achieved in individual races. So come on have a go, get a time for each stroke this time, and see if you can improve on it in the next mini gala.

Swimming Costumes
Swimming costumes in Portland colours are now available to buy at every training session priced £9 for girls and £6 for boys.

GALA NEWS

Results Spring Competition May 12th 2007.

This gala saw 15 personal bests and 6 sprint awards achieved. Congratulations to Rosie O’Reilly, Joel Earps and Sam Brook who achieved personal bests in 2 events. Special mention to Joss Hollingsworth and Connor Cruikshank, who took part in their first gala and performed really well.
